CDM options & possible Formations.

With the signings in Lindelof & Lukaku, we definitely need more addressing to do. A dynamic powerhouse CDM is that missing focal point in our midfield which needs to be addressed, which is why signing a CDM becomes a priority.

If we look back to the teams managed by Jose Mourinho, we will definitely see a CDM, and that has turned them into a successful side . This is exactly what is needed at Manchester United.
In order to get the best out of Paul Pogba, a CDM is required who can free up Pogba from his defensive responsibilities, which will alow Pogba to attack more.

The players who could the job in the role of CDM.
They are:

1) Nemanja Matic:
Since the confirmed arrival of Bakayoka at Chelsea, Matic has been rumoured to have a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. Juventus are also rumoured to be in for him. There are mixed opinions about Matic from the fan base. Some want him, some don’t.

Merits:
- Premier League experience.
- Worked under Jose Mourinho before.
- Mourinho's trust.
- Knows how to win the Premier league.
- Champions League experience.

Demerits:
- Age factor, old, would be a short term signing.
- Chelsea would be reluctant to sell, after Lukaku's signing (Hijack).

2) Fabinho:
Fabinho is a player who gets mutual acceptance by the majority of the fan base. Someone, I'd prefer to have as well.

Merits:
- Champions League experience.
- Is only 23, young prospect, long term signing.
- Versatile, can play at right back.
- Penalty expert, scored 7 penalties, last season, more than Zlatan Ibrahimovic(2) & Wayne Rooney(1) combined.
- Excellent passer of the ball, completed 1636 passes with an 84% pass accuracy, in the 2016/2017 season. The highest at Monaco.
- Counter Attack expert. Monaco were a joy to watch, when they counter attacked. Fabinho was responsible for most of them. Something, Jose would like.

Demerits:
- No Premier League experience.
- If the rumours are to be true, Matic leads the line.
- Monaco may not sell, as they have already sold major XI starters.

As Manchester United have began their pre-season tour in The UNMISSABLE tour in the United States and with the Premier League season 2017/2018 round the corner, it’s about time we start talking about the formations.

IMO, a formation of 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-3 suits us more, which balances the squad perfectly and which will help to get the best out of Paul Pogba(subjected to a signing of a CDM, this season).

I prefer a formation of 4-3-3, as I think it balances the squad perfectly, and mainly removes Pogba from defensive responsibilities.

In a formation of 4-3-3, under Jose, will look something like this.

Eventually, it becomes a 3 at the back, with Valencia being the only overlapping fullback, just like Maicon at Inter.
~ Darmian at LB, because he is a better defender than Shaw. His Europa League final performance makes him deserve his spot. Hopefully we don't sell him.
~ With a CDM in Fabinho or Matic, a player who guards the back 3 and removes Pogba, from defensive responsibilities.
~ Herrera being the box to box midfield.
~ From Jose's comments from his latest press conference, reckon he will play Rashford alongside Lukaku(which is great) & ideal for a counter attacking side.
~ Mkhitaryan, on the right side.

Thoughts on Anthony Martial & Martial + 60m = Verratti deal.

Anthony Martial has been making the headlines recently, news which speculates him to a move away from Manchester United. So in the last week or 10 days, it was rumoured that Inter Milan want Martial to be included in the possible Ivan Perisic deal, either as a permanent transfer or a season long loan(which is completely daft to do). Yesterday, news broke that Manchester United are in for Italian midfield sensation Marco Verratti from PSG, which includes Martial + 60 million pounds.  Just because Verratti has appointed Mino Raiola, doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to a move to Manchester United. Here. I am not ruling out a transfer, but I am being realistic. Think he dreams a move to Barcelona, which is exactly why he appointed Raiola. Coming to the Martial + 60 million = Verratti deal, I think its complete nonsense & lazy journalism. Reasons why: 1)            Player/Players + cash = Player, deals don’t happen. Even if it does happen in the future, it w

Why Manchester United Should Sign Perisic Instead Of Bale.

Perisic has been heavily linked to a move to Manchester United Ivan Perisic is one player, who has been constantly linked to a move to Manchester United, in this summer transfer window.  Inter Milan want £48m for him, which is beyond Manchester United’s valuation, but looking at the current market, its fair enough and matter of fact, Perisic is their best player after club captain, Mauro Icardi. So, a club is ought to try to keep hold of their best players or demand a huge fee. It’s no hidden fact, Real Madrid want to sign the teenage sensation in Kylian Mbappé. Mbappé is someone who seeks regular 1st team football, and in order to do so, one of the BBC needs to be sold. According to recent reports, Zinedine Zidane believes the club must sell Bale, if they are to sign Mbappé. Now that Barcelona is also in the race, one can expect Madrid to act quick and of course to prove “Perez always wins”. Manchester United has always shown interest in Bale, so they now lead th

Neymar & Sanchez to PSG deal explained & possible lineup for 2017/2018 season

In this summer transfer window, we witnessed one of the most shocking & biggest transfers in Leonardo Bonucci’s move to Ac Milan. If rumours are to be true, we are in for another.  Neymar Junior to PSG is the biggest speculation dominating all the headlines of all the media houses, and if this deal does happen, this ought to be the mother of all transfers and Neymar will beat Pogba as the world’s most expensive player (which is great from a Manchester United perspective).  Sanchez is also another player who is rumoured to a move to the French giants. If these two deals in Neymar & Sanchez do happen, PSG are surely strong contenders in the 2017/2018 Champions League. Reasons why Neymar would leave Barcelona: 1)     Neymar is 25, it’s about time he becomes the main man at a football club. 2)     PSG’s deal is very remunerative to Neymar as it provides him the opportunity to be the poster boy, the opportunity to be one of the best paid in the world and th
